Justin Sandercoe Launches His Debut Album - "Small Town Eyes"

"Hello there my virtual friends," is a more well-known phrase when I think of internet phenomenon and guitar personality Justin Sandercoe. Having recently started following the develop of Justin's online guitar tuition website it is a breath of fresh air to see Mr Sandercoe in the flesh and performing with guitar as opposed to his general role as happy guitar tutor.

With an array of talent in his band put together for the recording and publish of "Small Town Eyes," the Sandercoe band launched into the angelic "Forevergreen," with it's renowned guitar intro and bossa nova chorus. Close behind followed the country blues stomp "Love and Levity" delivered with charismatic and assured aplomb.

More acoustic pop highlights followed with the heart warming "Into the Blue" and "Page 99," a homage to the author Louis De Bernieres, faultless with tremolo mandolin that would have made Captain Corelli proud! Then came the delightful instrumental, "From Katie's Window," where Sandercoe displays the dexterity as a guitarist and musicianship that has cemented his place as one of the web's important guitar personalities. A exquisite interlude emphasising a warmth and spirit that is touching and abundant straight through all of Justin's music and his 'between song banter' in this intimate setting.

The band began to fire on all cylinders and for real began to cook towards the end of the set galvanized by the introduction of co writer Peter Cunnah of D:Ream fame, on backing vocal duties. The stand out song of the evening was the exquisite "Falling Next To You," a fine ode to uncertain and newfound love with a blissful groove, classic harmonica motif and infectious backing vocals. Here we see Sandercoe's maturity as a song writer and the power of the group as a whole, topped off with some delightful Gretsch guitar overtones.

A warm and intriguing display from our internet hero, and on his birthday too. Watch out for "Small Town Eyes" produced by Cesar Gimeno Lavin, a promising debut album, that is sure to be favorite in Uk and Us acoustic music circles.
